FISHING EVENTS
March 1-November 30, 2023 | Annual Big Fish Contest All fish must be caught at Piney Run Park during regular business hours and must be weighed in alive to qualify. Prizes will be awarded - call the park for details. |
Friday, June 21, 2024 | Largemouth Bass Fishing Tournament I from 6pm-11pm Prizes awarded for biggest Largemouth Bass (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). |

Wagon Trail Rides & Campfire Enjoy a wagon ride through our forests and fields. The wagon ride will take about 45 minutes and a campfire will be waiting for you upon your return. Bring your own marshmallows, hot dogs, and more to roast or just enjoy the campfire. Summer 2024 | Piney Run Nature Camp Four 1-week sessions of our Summer Nature Camp beginning in the month of July. |
- Kayaking at Piney Run Park – Throughout the open season Nature Center has various guided kayaking opportunities at the park. Call the Nature Center at 410-795-6043 or see our program guide for dates, times, and other information.
- Birthday Parties – Nature Center Birthdays include 3 hours of yurt usage with a 45-minute naturalist-led program - $200 (gift bags are available for $5 each) – Set-up and clean-up are the responsibility of the scheduling parent/guardian.
- Adopt a Critter – The Nature Center’s live animal collection requires constant care. Animals in need of sponsors include birds of prey, snakes, and turtles. You can sponsor all the critters or a specific one. Call 410-795-6043 for details.
PAVILIONS
Planning a party, family get-together, or other outdoor events? All pavilions are available on a reservation-only basis. For more information or to reserve a pavilion, please visit our registration website or call the Park Office at 410-795-5165 from Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Pavilion prices include 5 free vehicle passes for the day of rental.
