Ed Prinz

Ed Prinz has been a long-term volunteer for Finksburg Baseball.  He has coached baseball for 13 years and has been with the Finksburg Baseball & Lady Lions Softball Program since 2021. Currently, in 2025 Ed is in his 4th year of managing our baseball equipment including collecting, sorting, repairs, and distribution.  In the spring of 2025, Ed was the age group coordinator for 3 age groups of baseball, only one of which he had a child involved with. In the fall he is coordinating 2 age groups, and has two children playing in one of them. Ed spends an amount of time at our fields and ballpark that is beyond parallel. He is the first there on a rainy day (of which we’ve had plenty this year) and spends time there each week working on ball diamonds.  He coaches in some capacity each season and is currently one of our Seniors age(13-17) coaches. Ed is a social studies teacher in Baltimore County Public Schools.  

It should also be noted that the Prinz family is right behind him as his wife Melissa manages our calendar, which is a huge task, and his older son James is one of our longest standing umpires who does both Rec and Travel Ball officiating.
