Lori Doyle

Lori Doyle is a huge asset to the Freedom Area Rec Council volunteering countless hours each week for the youth in our soccer and baseball programs.
Lori first coached in Freedom Soccer in 2009 coaching her stepson’s soccer team. She took a break from coaching to start her family but returned in the Fall of 2015 coaching her son Cameron in the Kindergarten Division and has continued coaching him in addition to her sons Michael and Aiden. She joined the Soccer board in the fall of 2020 as a division coordinator and working with referees. In the fall of 2022 when the current commissioner had to step down due to illness Lori stepped up and took over the role of interim commissioner of the program of over 1400 participants. In January of 2023 she was voted in as the commissioner and continues in that role.

In Sykesville Baseball Lori began coaching in the Spring of 2015 with Cameron and coached him in T-ball through Clinic 8. She joined the Baseball board in the Summer of 2020 as the Director of Field Operations until the Spring of 2023 when she became President of the program of over 1,200 participants, a position that she continues to hold today.

Lori can be found on the baseball and soccer fields throughout the year volunteering tirelessly to make things great for the participants of Freedom Soccer and Sykesville Baseball Programs.

We are proud to honor Lori as the Freedom Area Recreation Council 2024 Volunteer of the Year.

Craig exemplifies what a true volunteer is, and we are honored to have him as our 2023 Volunteer of the year.
