Jackie Brown

Winfield Recreation Council nominates Jackie Brown as our 2024 for Volunteer of the Year. Jackie truly embodies the best qualities of leadership. During her tenure as President of the Winfield Baseball Association (WBA) she has grown the program each year in registration numbers and programs offered in both the Fall and Spring. She has overseen the continued development of Winfield Park Baseball Field, improved facilities at the Taylorsville Winfield Lions Club Field, and has maintained the CCPS/CCRP fields. Through her involvement with WBA, she has improved the overall experience for all the families who are in the program. Jackie has her stamp all over the DNA of Winfield Baseball.

In addition, Jackie is an Executive Board Member of the Winfield Recreation Council as our Webmaster, and she is the brainchild and organizer of our Digital Billboard Advertising Campaign. That has been a huge help to all the programs in our council. As part of the WBA’s partnership with the TW Lion’s Club, Jackie also has taken on the task of helping the Lion’s Club recruit more members. Helping other programs and organizations in need have been a hallmark of her time as a volunteer and should be seen as an example for others.

Through Jackie’s leadership, innovation, and sheer determination she makes everything she is involved in a success. She has given a generation of kids the best gift ever - the ability to have a safe space to learn and grow AND have some fun along the way. Jackie is truly the embodiment of Volunteer of the Year and we are so proud of her and everything that she does.
