Public Hearing to be Held on September 3rd Proposed Ordinance Amending Changes Related to Retirement Villages/Retirement Homes
Westminster, MD, Thursday, August 27, 2026 - The Board of Carroll County Commissioners will hold three public hearings on Thursday, September 3, 2026, beginning at approximately 6:00pm, in Room 003 of the Carroll County Office Building, 225 North Center Street, Westminster. The Retirement Villages hearing is third on the schedule and its purpose is to receive public comments on a proposed Ordinance as related to Retirement Villages/Retirement Homes amending Chapters 91, 155, and 158 of the Code of Public Local Laws and Ordinances of Carroll County.
The Notice of Public Hearing was first advertised on August 20, 2026.
The proposed amendment may be reviewed on the county’s website by clicking here or by obtaining hard copies in the main lobby of the County Office Building (225 North Center Street, Westminster, Maryland, 21157) during normal business hours, 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday and 8:00am – 3:00pm on Fridays (until September 4, 2026)
To comment on the proposed resolution, please attend the hearing or email the Commissioners at commissioners@carrollcountymd.gov, prior to the date of the hearing. The Commissioners may approve amendments based on the comments received and could do so without additional public hearings. Therefore, it is important to be present or send comments.
