Ready Carroll Registration is Open
Westminster, MD, Tuesday, March 17th, 2025 – Registration is open for the Spring session of Ready Carroll sponsored by the Department of Emergency Management and Communications (DEMC) and partner agencies. Ready Carroll is a free 8-hour program providing Carroll County residents with basic skills needed to prepare for and respond to everyday emergencies as well as community-wide disasters. There will be multiple interactive demonstrations, including fire extinguishers and 9-1-1 simulators.
Classes will take place in person at the Carroll County Public Safety Training Center, 50 Kate Wagner Rd., Westminster. There will be four consecutive weekly sessions beginning April 2nd and running each Thursday in April. Each session begins at 6:00 p.m., and there is no cost to participate.
Topics include:
- April 2nd- Citizen Preparedness
- April 9th- Crime prevention and safety
- April 16th- Fire prevention and safety
- April 23rd- Community Resources/Review
