The Loch Raven Reservoir watershed is located in the eastern portion of Carroll County. The watershed is within the Western Run River basin in the Piedmont physiographic province of Maryland. The Loch Raven watershed drains into the Loch Raven reservoir, which is a major drinking water intake for the City of Baltimore.
