Westminster, MD, Monday, July 7, 2025 – Carroll County Bureau of Aging & Disabilities’ Family Caregiver Support Program in partnership with Carroll Community College will host a training entitled “Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others” as part of the “Increasing your Capacity for Excellent Care” series.

The class will be held Saturday, July 12th from 9 am-12 pm at Carroll Community College, 1601 Washington Rd., Westminster MD, room K132. This course emphasizes the importance of self-care to avoid “compassion fatigue” and maintaining one’s own health while caring for loved ones.  Participants will learn about the aging brain, understand the needs of care recipients, and discover strategies to balance caregiving with self-care.

Registration is required and must be completed by Friday, July 11th.  A light breakfast will be provided. There is no cost to attend the class. To register, use the QR code on the flyer or contact Carroll Community College at 410-386-8100.
