Carroll County Visitor Center Moves to New Location July 1st
Westminster, MD, Friday, June 21, 2024 – The Carroll County Office of Tourism announces that on Monday, July 1, 2024, the Carroll County Visitor Center will move to a new location at the Carroll County Farm Museum, 500 South Center Street in Westminster. In order to prepare and facilitate the move, the current location at 1838 Emerald Hill Lane in Westminster will close operations on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
The Visitor Center helps residents and visitors navigate the county's beautiful rural areas, historic sites and parks. The center provides information and aid to any tourists and acts as the main point of contact for tourists’ travel planning inquiries, as well as providing a place where local and surrounding area businesses can promote their products and services.
“We are excited to see the Visitor Center housed with one of our tourism gems, the Carroll County Farm Museum,” said Economic Development Director Denise Beaver. “Almost 80,000 visitors came to the museum last year and this type of traffic will expose our guests to the Visitor Center where they can learn more about things to do in our beautiful county.”
Hours for the center are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday noon – 4 p.m., and closed on Sundays. The center is open on some holiday with hours noon to 4 p.m.; however, it is closed on New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
