Westminster, MD, Wednesday, March 6, 2024 – Carroll County Department of Economic Development Tourism Office is pleased to officially launch the 2024 Visitor’s Guide! The guide, available digitally and in print, is a highlight of attractions, lodging, dining, shopping, events, and resources offered throughout the county.

The cover of this year’s guide is a photo of “Raventree” by Carroll County artist Thomas Sterner. Installed in late summer 2023, the 22-foot stainless steel tree is home to several life-like ravens perched upon 64 branches. The sculpture sits upon a hill overlooking the 187-acre Wakefield Valley Park in Westminster. The sculpture was made possible by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council and was gifted by the artist to the City of Westminster for Wakefield Valley Park.

The guide is available today in digital format here and on the Tourism website.  The printed guide is currently available in many locations within and outside the county including, but not limited to:

Carroll County Visitors Center
Carroll County Public Library branches
Carroll County Chamber of Commerce
Various organizations and businesses throughout the county
Maryland Welcome Centers
Corporate, Government, and Military Information Centers
Other strategic travel locations in the area
