Westminster, MD, Friday, November 8, 2024 – The Board of Carroll County Commissioners (Board) wants to share with the public that PSEG, the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project contractor, released 10 possible powerline pathways earlier this year.  More recently, according to PSEG’s website, “As a result of the extensive data gathering and analysis, comments received from the public, field collected data, and the siting team's knowledge and experience, the siting team chose to carry forward Route H as the Proposed Route for the Project.

Residents may review the route analysis and preferred Route H summary on PSEG’s website.  After carefully assessing Route H, Carroll County staff summarized some potential impacts. Please note, that this review is an informal analysis of the publicly available data from PSEG. The county has not received a formal submission of alignment or construction plans.
