Westminster, MD, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 – Carroll County Government is pleased to invite all interested residents to attend two upcoming community presentations highlighting the current and future “state of broadband” in Carroll County.

Two presentations are planned:

Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 9:30 am - North Carroll Library, 2255 Hanover Pike, Hampstead
Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 6:00 pm – Taneytown Library, 10 Grand Dr, Taneytown

Carroll County’s Broadband Manager will present the following topics:

• Broadband basics
• Current highspeed broadband in Carroll County
• Current federal and state grant awards
• Current active builds and their status
• Upcoming federal grant opportunities
• New county broadband programs
• County broadband accomplishments in the last year
• Alternative broadband options
• County broadband mapping
• Results of the county’s broadband survey and why it is important
• Q&A
